Located to the east of Bundaberg is the pristine coastal township of Bargara, that holds many attractions making it the perfect destination for kinds of holidays. Bargara is widely considered to be the jewel of the Coral Coast with great fishing and water activities as well as many tours and attractions in the area.

Located just off shore from Bargara is the lush tropical island of Lady Musgrave where you can either spend the day exploring the island or perhaps you will love it so much you will want to stay overnight. Whale watching is another pastime that many people travel from all around to experience, as these impressive creatures are sure to amaze! The Turtle Rookery host a number of tours down to the shoreline near Bargara between the months of November through to March where you can witness the amazing spectacle of a female turtle nesting her young and then later on in the coming months you can also watch the little hatchlings make their way down to the water’s edge.
