Dunk Island is Australia's most beautiful tropical rainforest island. This island of peace and plenty offers an amazing variety of activities, facilities and experiences and suits a range of budgets.
With an enormous variety of activities to choose from, it's hard deciding what to do next. You could start the day with a rainforest walk and take in the spectacular views from the summit of Mt Kootaloo. After breakfast, explore one of the National Park walking trails through the rainforest and later perhaps a snorkel at Muggy Muggy Beach.

DINING
Beachcomber Restaurant
The resort's main restaurant, specialises in fresh tropical style cuisine. A full buffet breakfast is served daily from 6.30am to 10:00am. 3 course table d'hote dinners are available 4 nights a week (a special children's menu is available on these evenings) and themed buffet dinners are available 3 nights a week from 5.30pm.
Terrace Restaurant
Located at the bottom of the Cascade Pool, the Terrace offers light, but elegant Italian dining specializing pasta & homemade pizza. Dinner is served 7 nights a week from 6.00pm.
Plantation Bar
Overlooking the Beachfront Butterfly Pool and Brammo Bay, the Plantation is the perfect place to soak up the rich, tropical ambience of Dunk Island. Open daily from 10.00am for drinks, cocktails, coffees and fresh juices.

The Jetty Café
The Jetty Café is situated at the tip of Dunk Island overlooking the jetty on Brammo Bay. The Jetty Café is the base for all of the Island's watersports activities. A casual beachside style cafe atmosphere serving lunches daily and featuring fresh seafood cuisine that is fast and fresh. Operation is subject to seasonality. The Jetty Café is open from 9.00am daily.
Asian Noodle Café
Located beside the Butterfly Pool, Noodle Café offers lunch daily from 12.00pm, enjoy a casual relaxed dining experience from a menu that includes rice, stirfry & noodle dishes.

KIDS CLUB
When it comes to family fun, Dunk is truly the Island of Peace and Plenty. There's a whole host of things to enjoy together. But when Mum and Dad want a little peace and quiet together, the Kids Club has plenty of great activities for the children.
Kids Club caters for children aged 3 to 12 years all year round.
They can join a treasure hunt, nature arts and crafts, take a rainforest discovery walk, visit Dunk's own farm and the list goes on. In the evening, there are movie nights, campouts, ecology walks, night fishing and more. The Kids Club even caters for the kids at dinner time. In fact, the kids will be having so much fun, parents can simply disappear. Now that's cool!
Care for under 3's / Babysitting
Dunk Island Resort babysitting is a fully supervised service for children under 3 years of age. Babysitting provides you with the opportunity to enjoy a few quiet hours to yourself while your child is cared for in a safe and friendly environment. Under the watchful eye of a resort babysitter, your child is able to fully participate in all Kids Club activities. Babysitting is available on request but is subject to availability.
Family and group babysitting outside of Kids Club hours is also available on request.

9 HOLE GOLF COURSE
Dunk's 9 hole golf course, with boardwalks through dense rainforest, offers spectacular views of the Family Islands and the mainland.
The course layout and design was created by Scott Dowdle, who operates and maintains Queensland's leading international championship course, Laguna Quays. Making clever use of Dunk Island's natural topography, the golf course was created without major earthworks or extensive planting of imported grasses.

Beachfront Suites
Situated beachside the rooms offer virtually uninterrupted views over Brammo Bay with direct access to the beach. Set in small groups of four units (two units upstairs, two downstairs), Beachfront Suites are bright and spacious with a king bed and a luxurious bathroom with a twin vanity.
The interior is split-level with the upper level featuring the sleeping area and a comfortable living area on the lower level. Rooms have a relaxed coastal feel with double glass doors leading onto a large balcony. Additional in-room amenities include CD Player, bathrobes and fully stocked mini bar. Interconnecting rooms are available.

Beachfront Rooms
Situated beachside with easy access to the beach, guests can enjoy views over Brammo Bay from most rooms. Upstairs rooms have balconies and down stairs rooms have a patio and lead onto the gardens and the beach. Rooms have a combined living and sleeping area and bathroom with combined bath and shower.
All rooms feature one king and one single bed. Family configurations are available with two queen beds and one single bed. Additional in-room amenities include bathrobes and fully stocked mini bar. Interconnecting rooms are available.

Garden Rooms
Set amongst tropical gardens, these rooms are a short stroll from the central complex, resort facilities and beach. Garden Rooms have a queen bed, ensuite with shower and a small outdoor patio or balcony. Family configurations are available.

GETTING TO DUNK ISLAND
Dunk Island is located approximately 4 kilometres off the Tropical North Queensland coast, midway between Townsville and Cairns.
By Plane Transfer
Hinterland Aviation operates regular scenic transfer flights between Cairns Airport and Dunk Island up to 3 times daily. Private transfer charter flights to Dunk Island are also available upon request.
Transfer duration: approx. 45 min. Check-in is 30 minutes prior to the flight departure at the Hinterland Aviation terminal.
Luggage restrictions: passengers are restricted to a total of 23kg including one small carry-on piece of hand luggage not exceeding 4kg. Soft suitcases are preferable. A limit of 23kg total per person applies, this includes check in and carry-on hand luggage (subject to loading restrictions). Luggage storage facilities are available at the Hinterland Terminal.
By Coach & Quickcat Boat Transfer
Mission Beach Dunk Island Connections operate services between Northern Beaches, Cairns Airport, Cairns City and Dunk Island daily to connect with the Quickcat between Mission Beach and Dunk Island.
