Hamilton Island is one of the icons of Australia's top tourist holiday destinations. Hamilton Island is on about the same latitude as Hawaii in the northern hemisphere and consequently has a most attractive climate all year round. Average year round temperature is 27.4 degrees. The island is located in the Whitsunday group off the coast of Queensland and is one of 74 islands in this sub tropical paradise. The Island is currently buiding a brand new international standard Hamilton Island golf course designed by Peter Thomson, on nearby Dent Island which will soon be open for use
Hamilton Island Resort is the easiest resort on the Queensland coast to access. The island has its own airport with direct flights from Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns or Brisbane or it can be accessed by fast catamaran from Airlie Beach on the mainland thus providing access for those wishing to travel by train or coach. There are also over 10 restaurants and six take away outlets on the island with a huge range of cuisine including the freshest seafood. Activities for guests on the island are very extensive with a range of over 40 activities including, beach cruises, water skiing, wind surfing, catamaran and yacht sailing, gymnasium, tennis, game fishing, nature walks, Koala gallery, sea kayaking, scenic flights, safari tours, Great Barrier Reef tours or simply just relaxing by one of the six resort pools. The island also features fantastic shopping with over 20 boutiques and specialty stores throughout the marina village and the resort centre.
Kids 0-12 years stay free when sharing a room with parents and using existing bedding. Kids 0-12 years eat free when dining with parents and eating from the kids menu in selected restaurants. The Kids stay and eat free program is not available to conference delegates, however, for a small fee when we arranging your conference this can be arranged.
Accommodation on Hamilton Island ranges from three star through to five star. Hotel accommodation is located in close proximity to Catseye Beach, the main pool and resort area. The Reef View hotel offers a regular house keeping service, mini-bar, in house movies, and hotel reception. Hotel accommodation includes the five star beach club, Reef View hotel, Palm Bungalows, Palm Terrace and Whitsunday Holiday apartments. Self catering accommodation includes 1 & 2 bedroom resort side apartments, Standard villas, Superior Villas Deluxe Villas and the luxury collection.
