Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Cairns
You will be met on arrival in Cairns and transferred to your hotel. Meet your fellow travelers over a welcome drink and a short briefing on your tour, followed by dinner.
Hotel: Mantra Trilogy, Cairns, 7 nights. D
Day 2: Great Barrier Reef
Visit the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. You will have 3 hours on the Outer Great Barrier Reef pontoon to enjoy the wonders of the reef. Enjoy morning tea, snorkeling, swimming, view the wonders of the reef from the underwater viewing area, spend some time with the marine biologists and take a tour of the semi-submersible submarine. A delicious hot and cold buffet lunch is included.

Day 3: Atherton Tablelands
A full day in the Atherton Tablelands. Travel to Lake Barrine, a prehistoric volcano now filled with the purest water, where you will enjoy morning tea followed by a cruise. Enjoy nature at its very best with a visit to the Curtain Fig Tree and Millaa Millaa Falls, before lunch at beautiful Tarzali Lakes, where you will visit the secluded platypus lake. Hear and see the amazing story of love that is Paronella Park and its Spanish Castle ruins, set amidst the lush tropical rainforest. B – L – D
Day 4: Kuranda
Journey to the village of Kuranda aboard the world-famous Skyrail Cableway. Enjoy spectacular views as you travel above the rainforest canopy over Barron Gorge National Park. Once in the village, you will have time to explore the local Heritage Market before boarding the famous Kuranda Scenic Railway back to quaint Freshwater Station. B – D
Day 5: Cairns ‘Free Time
Day at leisure today to explore Cairns. Perhaps visit Rusty’s Markets, take in an art gallery, or visit the Royal Flying Doctor Museum or the Botanic Gardens. B
Day 6: Cairns ‘Free Time
Today is at your leisure. Perhaps enjoy a game of golf at one of the many courses in Cairns, or visit the tranquil setting of Palm Cove or another one of the beautiful northern beaches. B
Day 7: Daintree Rainforest
Our first stop is Mossman Gorge where you join the Kuku Yalanji Dreamtime Walk. Your experienced interpretive Indigenous guide will demonstrate traditional plant use, share their Dreamtime legend, and explain the history of the cave paintings and their special relationships with this unique tropical environment. Your time will end with tea and damper and question time with your guide. Continue through the township of Mossman before arriving at Silky Oaks for lunch in the rainforest overlooking the Mossman River. You will then board your river cruise, home to an array of tropical birds, pythons, and crocodiles. Continue on to the Scomazzon Fruit and Cane Farm to enjoy tropical fruit tasting. Finally, a stop in the resort town of Port Douglas, before we take the spectacular coastal drive back to Cairns. B – L – D
Day 8: Depart Cairns
Enjoy breakfast at your leisure before your transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. B
