Hamilton Island has created two new facilities, Hamilton Island Golf Course & Hamilton Island Yacht Club, officially opened for the 2009 Race Week that is held every August.
The Yacht Club’s imposing structure, which presents a dramatic nautical influence from every angle, is the centrepiece of an exclusive precinct comprising 35 elegant stand-alone villas, enchanting tropical gardens, and an impressive waterfront lagoon swimming pool. It features recreational and business facilities including an indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar which overlooks the marina, a private dining room, three conference and function rooms overlooking Dent Passage and an inspiring central atrium space for events.
The unique design of Hamilton Island Yacht Club will be a focal point from the land and from the air and each of the luxury villas around the yacht club will offer a unique, distinctly Australian escape for either holidaymakers or owner-occupiers. The newest accommodation on the Island are the Yacht Club Villas which have been built on the hillside overlooking the yacht club itself.
