Heron Island Resort is located on the Great Barrier Reef and offers overnight accommodation for guests (no day trippers) via launch transfer from Gladstone in Queensland. Heron Island is a coral cay with coral surrounding the island, this makes it a great destination to directly swim off the beach into an endless garden of coral where you’ll find many beautiful coloured fish and marine life.
As this island is not for day trippers, guests staying on the island will experience Heron Island exclusively. There are no buildings above the tree line so you’ll have an unique experience to explore and discover the natural attractions the island has to offer. Experience a relaxed island lifestyle with a casual resort atmosphere.
