Orpheus Island

A holiday at Orpheus Island in far North Queensland starts as soon as you board the seaplane in Townsville to travel over the amazing blue waters and enchanted isles rising from the Coral Sea beneath. Arrival on the tranquil beach is met with a warm welcome and cool fruit cocktail in the lounge area. Orpheus Island can not be reached by day-trippers, but instead is a private retreat with a limit of 42 guests at a time. You will not find any televisions, telephones, night clubs, or children below the age of 15.

Enclosed by lush tropical plant life and pristine sandy bays, Orpheus is an Australian island resort that is nestled amongst the complex coral reefs, which makes this untouched paradise is the perfect hideaway surrounded by seven beaches and a National Park.

The superb haven, Orpheus Island has activities to accommodate for all visitors. Guests have the option to venture through out the island, and relax on your own private beach. Snorkeling can also be done at Orpheus Island with outstanding encounters with the island’s aquatic life.
