Bargara is a fantastic holiday destination. Situated on the coast on the mouth of the Burnett River and only 15 minutes drive from Bundaberg, Bargara has so much to offer for the holidaymaker. Divers will love the area with excellent coral right off the rocks at Bargara or visit the Great Barrier Reef itself on a day trip from Bundaberg or 1770 or take an extended cruise aboard life aboard a charter boat.
The resort on lady Elliot Island is also a fantastic place to go if you want spectacular diving. One of the most popular activities in the Bargara region is golf. Many people come here for a golf holiday as there are two excellent courses. The resort course at Coral Cove resort boasts Australia’s only par six hole and the beachfront par threes are quite spectacular. The main Bargara golf course also has an excellent layout.
