Brisbane backpackers accommodation is now mostly found in the older style hotels in the city. Some of the larger ones have been built with large numbers of rooms and as the corporate market has trended more towards the newer accommodation, the older ones have fallen into disrepair. many of these have now been modernised and converted into backpacker accommodation. Some of these are particularly beautiful old buildings with wide veranda’s and iron lacework.They are found scattered throughout the city center so many are in very convenient locations.
