Mon Repos Turtle Rookery
See the Loggerhead Turtles lay their eggs Nov-Dec then during Jan-Feb the turtle hatchlings emerge and make their dash to the cool waters of the blue Pacific Ocean.
Mon Repos supports the largest concentration of nesting marine turtles on the eastern Australian mainland and is one of the largest loggerhead turtle rookeries in the South Pacific Ocean region.
