Surfers Paradise Holidays

Surfers Paradise is one of Australia’s most important holiday destinations. It is located on Queensland’s Gold Coast which is world famous for its temperate climate and its sensational beaches. Surfers Paradise, as the name implies, is one of the country’s most popular surfing destinations. The Gold Coast has many sensational beaches, each with its own surf club, and Surfers Paradise is right in the middle of the action. Over the past four decades, Surfers has grown from a few holiday homes on the sand hills to the nation’s capital of property development, and now the beach and the immediate inshore areas are lined with hundreds of high-rise holiday resorts and hotels.

The holiday infrastructure around Surfers Paradise has grown along with the development. Australia’s best theme parks are located in the hinterland and these make a holiday with the kids a fantastic experience. Seaworld is located at the Southport Spit, which is almost walking distance from Surfers Paradise. Dreamworld and Movie World is located at Coomera and is accessed via a shuttle bus service that picks up from most Surfers Paradise accommodation. These holiday parks are now so extensive that they can entertain the whole family for days. They all have fantastic rides and most also include wildlife parks and water parks where the whole family can cool off on a hot day. In Surfers Paradise itself, the center of town is the Caville Avenue mall and this is always filled with tourists. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants as well as arcades full of souvenir shops and boutiques. The mall also has holiday attractions to entertain the kids like Ripley’s, Believe it or Not.

The beach is right at the end of the mall and beachgoers intermingle with the crowds. Even right in the mall area, there is lots of accommodation and the esplanade is lined with high-rise resorts. Nearly all command fantastic views over the Pacific Ocean and the beach. The Surfers Paradise region is the epicenter of all holiday activities on the Gold Coast.
