Hi Cathy,

Just letting you know how much we both enjoyed the trip. The train trip was long but we met lovely people and the meals were great.

We thoroughly enjoyed Strathmore Station. Marie was extremely knowledgeable and explained why they do things the way that they do. We were very impressed with the morning tea as well.

The School of Distance Education Longreach was so interesting, as I used to work in a school for 24 years, and what impressed me so much was the interaction between the parents and the school, the manners of the students and the lovely grounds.

In Winton, we loved the Boulder Opal Motor Inn. It was clean and the meals were were great, It was nice to look out at the side to see kangaroos and brolgas.

We also enjoyed the trip to Bladensburg National Park. I especially loved the visit to Australian Age of Dinosaurs. Lynnette enjoyed it also, but I love dinosaurs. It was spectacular the night we had dinner there and the staff, who served us, were just delightful. The scenery was beautiful from the top of the jump-up.

We had fun at the Musical Fence, and enjoyed wandering around the Waltzing Matilda Centre. We loved our lunch at the North Gregory Hotel.

Back in Longreach we were fascinated by the Qantas Founders Museum. Our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting. The meal wasn’t bad either.

I had thought that 3 hours at the Stockman’s Hall of Fame would be too long but we loved every minute of it and would have like a little more time there. The Stockman’s show was very clever and entertaining. Everyone enjoyed it.

The Thomson River cruise was brilliant. It was pleasant sailing and when we saw pelicans and other birds. We arrived at Smithy’s it was just after sunset and it was a sight to see with all the lanterns. Once again, the meal wasn’t bad either! The star attraction sang extremely well and was funny but very entertaining.

We loved the whole package. All of the guides were both knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects. The locals were very friendly and to tell the truth we were both rather sad to leave both Winton and Longreach.

Thanks from us both for the wonderful time you organised for us. We really appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip and met some lovely people, some of which we will keep in touch in future.

Hi Cathy – just a note to thank you for all you did to help bring our holiday to reality. We had a great time, although a little marred for Angie with her headache episodes. She was to have a scan today, but it seems that. the finger may be pointing at migraine.

Hamilton Island was beautiful and also fun. We did a cruise with snorkelling etc but I got tired and then anxious and hyperventilated. The crew brought the inflatable in for me and a couple of others and then back on deck I watched a turtle swimming by, so that was special. We enjoyed swimming, buggy riding, sunsets, eating, some furry friends and watching everyone else watch everyone else!!! David and I went kayaking and he fell in – lost his hat so now has a Hamilton Island one.

For me personally, so many boxes were ticked – probably the absolute realisation of my dream was our whale watch tour. The Whalesong skipper and crew really went the second mile to ensure a successful trip and toward the end they were popping their heads up (the whales, that is) all over the place – breaching, slapping and cavorting. One breached right next to the boat at one stage. I was like a kid at Disneyland!! Thank you Kathy for choosing Whalesong.

Obviously an opportunity to say hello in person wasn’t to be, but I have formed an opinion which will ensure I would recommend your travel expertise and most helpful and personable manner. So often nowadays we tend to a DIY approach but I must admit it does help to have someone with local knowledge on side. I do want to go visit my friend who lives in Herberton one of these years, before we are much older, so may need some assistance when that time comes.

The Tilt train was very enjoyable,but can’t say much for sitting up on the Sunlander – was our choice so nobody to blame for that one. We enjoyed a lovely day in Brisbane and flew home last night – brrrrrr!!!

Hi Cathy!!

I have to thank you for such a wonderful holiday on Hamilton Island!!
Our room was the best out of everyone’s, best view, best and fastest buggy, our bed sheets were white!! (you know we love white!)
My husband was sooooo happy, therefore we really had the best trip – keeping him happy means we are all happy. lol
I hope only beautiful things happen to you as you are a beautiful person. You went out your way to make my holiday the best it could be.
Please don’t stop creating such hassle free and amazing holidays and memories for everyone. I have, and will keep recommending you to everyone.

Hi Cathy,

Beverley and I had a great cruise with Princess Cruises to NZ the ocean was like a mill pond (going to ask for our money back) The weather in NZ was cold 15 average temp. The highlight was Milford Sound, the scenery was magnificent.
Many thanks for taking care of our travelling arrangements during the year and looking forward for more travel in 2013.

Dear Cathy,

Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our wonderful Jumping Crocs and Litchfield Park tour. We are certainly recommending it to our friends and family. Our tour guide, Ben(?), was amazing – lovely Territorian who was friendly, kind and capable with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the local flora and fauna. He made the crocodiles seem like his own favourite pets, and I now respect their intelligence – which is a surprise!

Hi Cathy,

Just a quick note to let you know that the holiday was fantastic.

Hayman Island was outstanding. A well organised place. The Retreat room was just perfect – central but secluded an quiet! I’m still getting over the “turndown service”…

Hamilton Island is also stunning. I managed to keep the children’s visit a secret, with them arriving at the hotel about half-hour after us with a knock on the door. My wife did not suspect a thing, a didn’t see there presence as an intrusion on our second honeymoon! In fact she said on our return that it had been the best holiday.

Anyway, thanks again for your assistance with suggestions, bookings etc. There were no glitches.

I just wanted to write and say thank you very much for all your patience and help with planning our Hamilton Island holiday we are not seasoned travellers and it does get daunting but you really did alleviate some of the stress. We had a wonderful time the weather was overcast and a little drizzly at times but the Island is so beautiful it really didn’t matter.

Dear Cathy,

I was hoping to write to you from Airlie Beach but our days were so long and by the time we get back to sea star the office was closed. The accomodation was superb and the view was great except for the rain and cloudiness.
Thanks for all your arrangements.

We went to the gr.bar. reef on the 19th and left on the 20th am.
Tomorrow we are going to sydney and then to NZ for a week.
If ever I come again I will contact you to make all my arrangements.

HAYMAN….. WOW!!! Just amazing.

From the time you get off the plane at Hamilton Island you are made to feel like a VIP. You are escorted to Haymans luxury launch, where you are offered chamgpagne or beer and chef made canapes. There is a meet and greet escort on Hayman Island to your room. The staff are like one big family, always caring for you and each other, nothing is to much for them.

I was lucky enough to stay in the gorgeous lagoon wing, however every room type from the pool wing to the beach wing are superb. The gardens are sensational and cannot be captured on camera, in fact photos cannot capture the ambiance of this incredible resort.

It is truly an experience you must have. We ate at Oriental that night and this has to be the best Asian food I have eaten. Breakfast at Azure is amazing. I was there for 2 hours as I did not want to leave the best view in the world. Why would you holiday overseas when we have Hayman!

What a pleasant surprise! Way above my expectations.

It was delightful and the staff so happy and helpful. From the time we arrived you were made to feel special. Greeted at the boat by staff with a shell lai and then escorted into the atrium where a complimentary drink is supplied. We were lucky enough to stay in the Coral Ocean Balcony rooms with gorgeous ocean views, however all the rooms are great. The garden balcony rooms are fantastic if you are watching the budget. The gardens are amazing. Every day we just wanted to walk through the tropical gardens and see the wallabies and birds. The food was great and prices very reasonable. The pools are lovely and the lounges in the huge atrium are very welcoming and an easy place to relax and read.

I would have not hesitation in recommending Daydream Island Resort to any age group. Could not fault it!
