What to expect
You'll start with two days of theory and pool sessions at the training centre, building confidence in controlled conditions. Days three and four take you out on the catamaran to dedicated reef sites where you'll execute your four required dives under instructor supervision, then log two additional dives as a certified diver. The boat operates from early morning, so expect a full day on water with lunch and tea included. Small class sizes mean instructors know your pace and can adjust accordingly. By day four afternoon, you'll be signed off—no diving for 24 hours before flying home.
Good to know
You'll need reasonable fitness and be able to swim 200m (or 300m with mask and fins). Medical conditions like asthma, heart issues or diabetes require a dive doctor's clearance beforehand.
