Cairns Holiday Accommodation If you are traveling to Cairns for your next holiday you will need to book some of our excellent holiday accommodations well in advance. Cairns is one of Australia’s best international holiday destinations and there can be a huge influx of tourists at any time of the year that will take a lot of the available stock. Most Australians like to choose accommodation that is on the beachfront or close to it and this is impossible near the Cairns CBD itself. The waterfront region along the Cairns Esplanade is mostly mangrove covered with the occasional crocodile thrown in for good measure. To the north of the city center though, there are some beautiful beachside suburbs that boast excellent beachfront holiday accommodations. The most popular of these are Palm Cove and Trinity Beach. Clifton Beach and Yorky’s Knob also have some great holiday accommodations on offer. Palm Cove has the best beach and also has the most holiday accommodation to choose from. Much of it is right on the beachfront. Trinity Beach is smaller, but still has lots to choose from. It is no more than a twenty-minute drive to the city so it really is a great place to choose the best holiday accommodation for you. Most of these beaches have stinger nets to protect swimmers during the stinger season and hire craft like windsurfers, and kayaks are readily available.
