Additional fees
The following additional fees are applicable to each charter.
Marine park fee:
Whitsunday Island forms part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Park entry is $25 per person. This charge comprises an administration component and an Environmental Management Charge, used by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority for management, research, and educational purposes. The Marine Park fee is applicable to all charters and is payable in full prior to departure.
Damage levy fee:
A non-refundable, one-off damage levy fee protects the charterer against damage to the vessel and its fittings or loss of inventory from the vessel – providing the vessel has been operated in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the charter agreement at all times. The fee is calculated at a daily rate ($45 – $75 per day), depending on the vessel selected.
Bond:
A non-refundable damage levy fee of $100 plus a refundable $2500 bond option – applicable to all vessels and all charter durations – is also available. Whitsunday Rent A Yacht reserves the right (without showing cause) to apply this option.
Fuel:
Fuel is not included in charter costs. Costs are calculated on the total fuel liters used and are payable on completion of the charter. Fuel cost estimates are available per charter, on request.
Outboard Fuel/Gas:
A flat rate of $30 per charter is applied for outboard fuel used for your tender and also the LPG (gas) used for the stove/ BBQ. This will be payable at the end of the charter

Start and finish your charter from Whitsunday Rent A Yacht’s base at Shute Harbour, or the following locations (additional vessel delivery and collection fees apply):
- Hamilton Island starts: fly into Hamilton Island then board your charter vessel at Hamilton Island Marina. (Vessel Delivery fee: $295.)
- Hamilton Island finishes: finish your charter at Hamilton Island Marina, and fly out of Hamilton Island. (Vessel collection fee: $295.)
- Hamilton Island starts and finishes: start and finish your charter at Hamilton Island Marina and fly out of Hamilton Island. (Vessel delivery and collection fee: $475.)
- Daydream Island start: board your charter vessel at Daydream Island. (Vessel Delivery fee: $120.)
- Daydream Island finish: finish your charter at Daydream Island. (Vessel collection fee: $120.)
- Hayman Island starts: board your charter vessel at Hayman Island. (Vessel delivery fee: on request.)
- Hayman Island finishes: finish your charter at Hayman Island. (Vessel collection fee: on request.)
